About our Founder and Author
Daisy Carlson, a photographer and filmmaker, may be better known as the designer and CEO for Daisy Arts Inc., founded in 1991, when she designed a line for a cooperative of handicapped adults in Italy, that she was filming. Once struggling to maintain their autonomy they now have a thriving international business marketed under the name Daisy Arts Inc.
Her popular designs gained international notoriety and are sold worldwide. Daisy has designed product for museums, department stores and several international brands and charities.
In 2005 she founded Charming The World, which develops product and books as both marketing aids and product to support development projects and education. Incorporating her love for photography in product design she is back behind the lens where her first career started, reporting on and consulting with aid projects around the world.
With 16 years experience in marketing and international business management she is a strong advocate and consultant for small business development. Her interest in Africa and finding effective solutions for a sustainable future without hunger, leads her way.
Daisy, has published seven books in 2008 on aid projects which raise awareness in the retail market place and much needed funds for the children of these programs.
Carlson, specializes in brand identity, marketing and product design that
fulfills environmental and human rights requirements profitably for companies and NGOs developing social enterprise solutions
to capitalization. Carlson is a successful entrepreneur, who has created measurable profits for human rights, the environment and currency with development and educational products that are timeless and sustainable.
