Clean development mechanisms are carbon offsets that invest in projects that reduce emissions in developing countries and are carbon reductions that are additional to those that would have otherwise have occured. CDM's can be habitat restoration, clean energy technology, methods to reduce deforestation and cooking fires.
Daisy believes we have an opportunity to achieve alot by restoring biodiversity. It can take carbon out of the atmosphere and feed the children of the world. Almost everything we do puts carbon in the atmosphere so all of us need to be contributing to taking it out again. I propose banking 1cent of of every dollar spent  in the form of new carbon storage. This will fund habitat restoration projects that create climate security an provide food and water to those devestated by global warming today. Millions of children like these in Bali, who lack proper nutrition are waiting for us to act.
Lets not waist our  most valuable assets. children, air, water, habitat, the future.
